What shipped

bluebubbles-mcp 1.0.0 is up. The first commit landed at 2am. It is an MCP server that sits on top of the BlueBubbles REST API. An agent can use it to read and send iMessage and SMS through Messages.app. The code is at https://github.com/kleinpanic/bluebubbles-mcp.

What it does

Version 1.0.0 has seven tools. It talks over stdio. It is written in TypeScript.

This server wraps the BlueBubbles REST API in MCP tools, so an agent can call them like any other tool.

Run it

Clone the repo, then build it.

npm install
npm run build

Point it at your BlueBubbles server through the environment, as the README shows. Then add the built server to your MCP client.

What is not done

There are no tests and no CI yet. It is stdio only, so there is no network transport. I did not make a git tag either. The version number lives in the changelog in the README, and that is the only record of it for now.

The README is the place to check how each tool behaves.

What is next

If you try it and it breaks, tell me. I want to know.
