What I just pushed
xcode-mcp-suite is up! It is an SDK, a CLI and an MCP proxy for the agentic coding bridge in Xcode 26.3 and newer. That bridge is the xcrun mcpbridge command, and it exposes 20 MCP tools: build, test, Swift REPL, SwiftUI previews, symbol navigation and simulator control. The code is at https://github.com/kleinpanic/xcode-mcp-suite.
How it works
It is a pnpm TypeScript monorepo with three packages:
- an SDK with a typed XcodeClient and XcodeSession
- a CLI called xcmcp
- a standalone MCP proxy
The CLI has build, test, repl, screenshot, preview and doctor commands. The ui command does simulator tap, type, swipe and log. It talks to a Mac over SSH. The repo also has a SKILL.md and an AGENTS.md so agents know how to use it.
Setup
Build it from source:
git clone https://github.com/kleinpanic/xcode-mcp-suite
cd xcode-mcp-suite
pnpm install
pnpm -r build
In Xcode, open Settings, then Intelligence, then Model Context Protocol, and turn Xcode Tools on.
What is not done
The first nine commits today fixed tool names and parameters against the real bridge. One commit corrects all 20 tool names to match the real xcrun mcpbridge API. Another aligns every parameter name. A CLI audit found 12 bugs.
So expect rough edges. This is day one.
What is next
Try it and tell me what breaks. I want to know.
